A Colorado native, Cole Willford has been snowmobiling from the time he was old enough to throw a leg over a sled and take control of the bars. Never switching brands, he followed in his father’s footsteps and passion for riding Polaris snowmobiles, his first of which was a TXL 340. Riding in the mountains and exploring the backcountry was always a weekend priority and started his transformation into one of the best riders around. Not only did his upbringing consist of mountain riding, but racing as well. His dad for many years would compete on what was the early stages of the hillclimb race circuit now known as RMSHA. Cole enjoyed traveling to the races cheering for his dad, and with each race the competitive blood pumped through his veins. The desire to compete himself grew stronger with every passing year and the foundation of a successful future was being molded right before his eyes. Not being able to compete on snowmobiles at the time, Cole would feed his competitive hunger in the summer time racing motocross and supercross on the Colorado SRAC circuit.
Fast forwarding to the present, Cole is now a 3 time World Champion at the ever famous Jackson Hole World Championship Hillclimb. He holds multiple point championships and competes on the RMSHA hillclimb circuit as a top professional racer for Polaris Industries, with over 10 years of success!
The 2015-2016 season marked a new segment in Cole’s professional career as he joined forces with Chris Burandt and the BBA Team, sharing his passion for the backcountry with clients from all over the world! Cole enjoys helping others become better riders in technical backcountry terrain all while creating a fun and memorable experience in the mountains of Colorado and British Columbia. When not competing or guiding, Cole runs his own paintless dent repair business and teaches TruFit at his local gym. He enjoys riding his mountain bike, wake boarding and all water sports on his boat with his wife Jill, son Tanner and daughter Peyton in Fruita, Colorado. Come Ride with Us!
